Tihar is the second largest Hindu festival in Nepal. Part of the festivities involve children visiting homes to sing, dance and entertain ("Bhailo"). In return they receive pocket money. On 10th November 70 children from The Esther Benjamins Trust refuge in Kathmandu came to Philip Holmes's house. The children have been rescued by his Trust from the streets, prisons and from Indian circuses. Some have been cared for now for almost seven years. It's great to see how they have matured and exude so much confidence. They sing and dance from the heart and that is what the charity is all about.
