In the original Japanese the Bolar Federation is not a federation, but more properly "the Bolar Union". And the 52 episodes originally envisioned were to feature a third Galactic power in the latter half of the series. It would have been called "the United Zenie States" (no joke).
Yup!!! That's right. His name is Peter Fernandez. In fact, Nova's voice is done by the same person who does Trixie's voice in Speed Racer. Peter Fernandez also did some voiceovers in the original Ultraman.
Too bad this series wasn't fleshed out to the original 52 as had been envisioned. Loads of 'enemy of my enemy' themes to be played out -- supposedly the Galmans were to turn once again against the Yamato, of which hints can be seen in Desslok's subtle agitation towards the crew in a few of the previous Season III episodes. Bah..
Interesting how some of the buildings in the Bolar Capital are encased in ice.
I think Voyager Entertainment who produces the series on DVD and VHS are planning on using the original cast to dub the Yamato Series and this Season.

Isn't it great that the Cosmo Tiger has rear view mirrors? I love it!

Anyone know where you can listen to a clean version of the 'Bolar' themes?
Sounds like they're great for setting a theme as it seems. :)

Holy shit, it sounds like something Tchaikovsky might have written. They really took this "Bolars are Soviets" thing to the max, didn't they.

Great Bolar homeworld theme at 3:45.
