Cleaning a Record with Wood Glue

I wanted to try cleaning an LP with wood glue. It made for quite an improvement - and I've read that multiple cleanings continue to clean up the snaps crackles and pops.

Edit: I know I used way too much glue in this vid. :) But it was my first try so I wanted to get it right. You can use considerably less glue and still get the same effect - but it cuts the dry time way down. Just be sure that you get the whole record covered!

ghetto comes from where I grew up - poverty, gangs, drugs, etc. funk because at the time that I thought it would be cool to have a nickname (15+ years ago or so), I liked it. It just ended up sticking. I listen to a pretty wide spectrum of music - I used Miles Davis for the video simply because it needed a good cleaning.

I don't think so. It would be a "negative" mold of the record. Ridges, instead of grooves.

i use soap .it fills in the scracthes but not the grooves . don't let it dry ,

that is by far the scariest sound I have ever heard lol...worked really good though...makes you wonder how someone "accidentally" discovered this technique?

Can you play the grooves printed on the dried glue?

I tried it with this exact same record and it turned into Billy Jean when I was done.

You can use rubbing Alcohol as well to clean records
