michael emmerson's acting was exceptional in that scene. We can feel a man who was in charge reduce to beg mercy in order to live . The tone of his voice , his facial expressions the words he used , everything was quality, it's my number one scene of the whole season 6 well so far ...

For me, those scenes were equal, but it seems I made a huge mistake making the video lol. And I agree (after seeing the episode for the third time), Ben's confession is one of the best scenes in the whole show.

So.... 2 is the new 1 ! ^^

yes I know. I hesitated when I was making the video, but, in my opinion, the Jack/Richard scene is more significant for the plot. But yeah, I guess those 2 scenes are interchangeable ^^

I think #1 was a powerful episode as it was an overall theme of the show of the importance of the candidates. I agree the scene with ben was emotionally charged but jack and the dynomite was pretty cool too...it was amazing to see Jack as a man of faith compared to where he had been...so they both made changes in who they were but Jack's scene was key as he would become jacobs candidate to replace him

Yeah sorry not to belittle the point but I also agree that #2 needs to be considered #1. I didn't notice until watching this video how great the entire scene was. In my opinion, Michael Emerson deserves an Emmy just for this scene and even more specifically for his delivery of the line at 5:35. "Because he's the only one that'll have me." The first time I watched this episode that line just made me feel so bad for him and almost made me cry for him. A great scene and a brilliant line.
