well... crayfish normally react to something poking it unless they are are unhealthy and unhappy, it needs to be completely submerged in a minimum of a 10 gallon tank, next time do some research. ps. people who say it will drown are completely wrong, in fact this setup might make it suffocate from lack of water. they have GILLS and what do gills need? water!
