That's one of the things I really like about Spring, and Supcom. It's a simulation, as Chris Taylor put it.

Falling aircraft, accidental friendly fire and as shown in this video flying shrapnel can all do damage.

Shrapnel effects are awesome. I love the fact that units can be blown across the map using inertia and that theyre not just gonna sit there if a massive explosion hits them.
