This much loved melody, is played on a vintage tonewheel Hammond Organ by Peter Hayward.
Listen out for various traditional organ techniques, including Open Harmony (remembering Jesse Crawford). This is an excerpt from Peter's VHS video concert - DRAWBAR MAGIC.

  • @steverabb The sound of this lovely instrument really 'inspired' me on the day of recording. A real pleasure to play. Thankyou so much for listening to my music, and for your kind comments which I appreciate very much. Best wishes - Peter.

  • You can't beat the sound of a vintage tonewheel Hammond.

  • @paulj0557 Hi, you have some really great organ models there, and at amazingly low prices. It just goes to prove, that if someone is willing to buy an organ for the sound (rather than modern easy-play gimmicks) then there are bargains galore out there.... you just need the room for all those musical bargains.

    Here's wishing you - Happy Music !!

  • As Time Goes By... things change. Since my comment 4 months ago I found out that X77 w/ the Leslie $500 deal was a hoax, but I did find a nice Wurlitzer 625t for $100 ( Excellent flutes through the on board Leslie), a week after that I got a free Wurlitzer 4500, check out 'Mr. Fantastic and the Wonderful World of Wurlitzer' ( it's John Deluca). I did actually get a nice theater Thomas Palace III for $100, it's awesome! To see Thomas organs you've got to check out Bob Ralston on Lawrence Welk.
