Vid showing my op, i had keyhole surgery to fix a naff lung (called a reccurent pneumothorax), basically he went in, collapsed my lung fully, cut the hole in the lung off, pulls the skin on my chest wall off and pulls it out, meaning my lung will then inflate and stick my chest wall. simple.

btw, this is a badly edited, 1 hour to 17min video. alot of it was just skin pulling so i took most of that out and kept the good, finger prodding, giant tweezer vs skin bits in. enjoy.

  • i had this done less than a week ago (last thursday) didn't feel too bad after if but i started coughing and couldn't stop tensing my stomach because of it then was in agony (not really sore now though). its good to actually see how its done, thanks for uploading :)

  • @cameronj279 I still get that, but then again I didn't have much luck with my second operation :(

  • @OmNomNomFap that must suck....the main pain that i have just now is if i burp/cough etc a massive sharp pain in my stomach, it's apparently nerve damage from the operation and will last a few months which isn't good. and what went wrong with the 2nd op?

  • @cameronj279 Lung kept collapsing after the operation. and btw, the nerve damage stays aloongg time, My sides still hurt from time to time and I have to sleep on my back :(

  • 6:30....gosh wth is that, and why do they need to pull skin off?

  • @farenht456 so the lung would stick to it once its re-inflated....

  • Please tell me everything-

Did it hurt when they did the operation

    Or was it after

  • I had pneumothrox on both my lungs (happened 40 days apart from each other), i think they cut out a air bubble or something in the operation'

    I HATE CHEST TUBES!!!!!!

  • Its great to see what they actually do in there, I had 9 spontanious Pneumothorax's. 4 on the left and 5 on the right before i had pleural abrassion done on both sides.

I had the same symptoms everytime of tingling down my left arm and shortness of breath, vomiting and severe pain in my chest. That was all back in 2006 and i still have nerve damage and little feeling in my upper back and under my arms.

Just curious, has anyone else had pleurisy since there operation?

  • Thanks for posting this, finally got to see what happened in there 1 1/2 years ago. Even now, it seems that whenever i sit down, i still feel the tightness around my chest, makes me like standing up more now lol.

  • The "simple" at the end of your video description is 100% sarcastic (I hope)

  • This is a very nice video, you can see clearly what is done. What I'm most interested about is whether the removal of that small part of your lung caused any feelings of shortness of breath? Hope you are OK, thanks for the upload.

  • I had this on new years eve in 2001. Man, not the best celebration ever but they fixed it and for that I am grateful!

  • @delyshBB yeah the first time my left lung poped i was in and out of the hospital, no surgery done. All the doc did was put a chest tube in and let the air come out. and it was fine. The doctors decided i needed surgery when my right lung poped out of the blue like 2 weeks later. I had two operations which took like a month for each to work so it was a really crappy year, especially since this shit happened like in the 20some of November... so holidays sucked. Hope u dont need a 2nd operation.

  • @breadNwater777 2 months? wtf? lol. I had this problem and I was out of the hospital in under a week. I think I need another surgery now tho :(
