  • HQ please?

  • This is really funny. Horns up! haha

  • The hand position should be the same sitting as when standing, with your hand slightly cupped and turned so that your palm is facing inward, and the bell resting on the top of your hand and palm. This makes it so that you can switch back and forth to and from stopped horn. So when teaching hand position in the bell while sitting down it should be shown the same way as if you were standing up. This will take away from any confusion when dealing with the student.

  • i leaned to the left for a while when i tried standing

  • it's the most beautiful... but loud probably trumpet lol.

  • At least, she had tried to make a good videos

  • i picked horn cause it was the loudest instrument i tried out

  • Actually, Infamous is correct. The way this video shows is how to get a beginner or amateur to learn to play comfortably standing up. Often times a beginner or amateur would find it difficult and fatiguing to use the proper hand position while having to support the weight of the horn, especially with young players and doubles.

    With this position, you can't

    A) fine tune intonation

    B) fine tune tone/timbre

    C) easily switch to stopped horn

... so we learn to use the hand the same as when sitting.

  • You must be very intelligent.
