  • An excursion on the Buckingham Branch, a 9-mile long, ex-C&O shortline that runs from Dillwyn to New Canton, VA, where it crosses the James River and interchanges with CSX. Power is provided by GP-7 #101. The excursion runs to the bridge. Listen for the radio clearance to start the return trip, and watch for the nineteenth century blue slate stone work along the tracks.

  • Correction: It's 16 miles. The BB also leases and operates 200 miles of CSX track from Richmond to Clifton Forge, VA
