This is a really good movie about the economic inequality in Brazil. If you watch this, it is from the perspective of the police. Watch "City of God" to see it from the perspective of the druglords and gangsters. They're both excellent films, entirely accurate and realistic. It's sad, but hopefully one day we will end economic inequality across the world.
