Some of recent test to crack the continuous rolling swirl in maya fluids :)
resolution are around 270 340 210 & simulation 5-6 hrs.

  • How can I make my explosions roll like that in Maya?

  • emit loads of density for first few frames only & take ur swirl value to 10-14. keep sim scale around 2 to 1.5 & play with byuoancy dont keep it too high. use some fiedls like volume axis for push it in upward directions. then u shuld start getting some good shape.
