The Book of Deuteronomy does not promote Rape!


There are some who believe the Book of Deuteronomy promotes Rape.

I am deeply saddened to learn people are teaching it is acceptable to rape a woman in the sight of the most High.

Namely: Teachings of the Tahar GMS (Great Millestone) group of Black Jew Hebrew Israelites. Which is a false teaching & misinterpretation of the scriptures.

Deuteronomy 22:5
But if a man find a betrohed damsel in the field, & the man FORCE HER, & lie with her: then the MAN ONLY that lay with her shall die.

RAPE IS THE SAME AS MURDER

Deuteronomy 22:26
But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as WHEN A MAN RISETH AGAINST HIS NEIGHBOUR & SLAYETH him, EVEN SO IS THIS MATTER:

this verse clearly states that rape is the same as murder.

27 for he FOUND HER IN THE FIELD & the betrothed DAMSEL CRIED, & there was NONE TO SAVE HER.

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed & lay hold on her, & lie with her, & they be found;
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, & she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

WHICH INDICATES NO FORCE

The damsel does not cry out to be saved.

How can you call it rape?

It was conseensual SEX.

because he humbled her & layed with her, he had to make her his wife.

if a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto a husband, & a man find her in the city, & lie with her;
the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; & the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

Deuteronomy 22 Does not tell a man to rape a woman!

NO MEANS NO

I hope you would not actually believe the Most High, Creator of Heaven & Earth would promote rape of a 12 yr old girl or woman for that matter?

The Term"Scream" is a Euphemism for None Consent Forced Violent Rape.They are not literally meaning if you did or didnt Cry out load. In context the text refers to fornication,for example if she screamed they mean she was violently forced (Criminal Rape)But if she didnt then it was Consensual Fornication.People dont understand the nuances of the old world.

According to the version you read it says RAPE.But that is NOT the Correct translation according to NAS concordance the hebrew word TAPAS used in that verse means to lay hold of, wield capture, and that is probably why they decided to use the word "rape" . What the Skeptic's do is supply there own meaning.

What about the word "humbled" used in the text? Why would humbled be used for consensual sex. humbled here is clearly a flowery word for violated. And if she was violated she was raped. This trips me out.

Also what trips me out is the penalty for raping a virgin that's not engaged; the rapist has to pay the family of the victim money and to marry her without ever divorcing her. The victim's resolve, Marry your rapist!!!!
