You've seen the unboxig of the G2 Brake Caliper Paint System Kit and now it is time to get to work.

We cover mixing the paint, applying the paint, and give you overviews of how the G2 Blue looks with one coat, after 2 coats on all 4 corners, up close when fully cured, compare the G2 Blue with VHT Blue, and showcase the finished product with the wheel and tire installed.

  • Looks awesome. Great video. I'm def doing this to my FJ! It looks like the exact color of my truck. Theyre calling it voodoo blue. Lol

  • @MarctheBarberNYC Thanks, glad it was helpful...that does look like a good match for the FJ Cruiser...good luck!

  • Never expected to find a video this detailed. This is definitly better than the video by G2. Actually, going to go order a kit now. I wasn't going to paint my calipers, but after seeing this video, I might as well considering they're going to be off the car for a while. Thanks for the video. Nice looking Mopar by the way. I'm a Honda person, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Mopars.

  • @Hondatech26 Thanks for the compliments! That is the best time to hit the calipers, I usually have them off and aeresol...hard to justify pulling them on a car with a tick over 1k miles so I went this route...still holding up great. It'll look just as good on your Honda...I had friends with the 3.0L Accords back in the day and we'd go roast a lot of unsuspecting brand-xers, lol.

  • Hey guys and girls I can vouch for G2 Caliper paint it looks great on my lex. Its a great DIY. Nice tutorial.

  • @tebanjose Thanks, glad you've had just as good of luck on your lexus!

Yep, still looks as good as the day it was applied and that has remained with daily driving conditions, which for me has primarily been hot and dusty. The car has been through every rain we've had (which is roughly 5-6 storms, lol), but everything is golden. Glad we could help and good luck with the RX7, should look great!

  • Still holding up well? Going to get G2 Red for my rx7 calipers :). Thanks for taking the time to upload a video of your work. Certainly helps others like me.

Shouldn't be an issue, if you are located anywhere as hot as it is here in Texas this time of year it will definitely be a non-issue. I would apply it to one caliper and see how it does naturally, if you have to expedite things try the heat gun on one...if it works great, if not then paint the other three and then just re-prep the other. You don't want to apply this when it is too hot though...instructions have all the specs for you.

  • just ordered a red for my impala, i wonder if i can use a heat gun to make it dry faster of course not using it to close
