  • Thank you for your comment Got2Trot21, I think people that do not live in the tropics understand how much happier our dogs are clipped. Thanks again for your time and comment.

  • Fathom is clipped for many reasons: He is cooler when on the beach, boat & kayaking, the long hair also made it difficult (Heavy when wet) to get in and out of water via boat, kayak ect.

Salt & sand from the ocean makes him itch when it dries (Thus the shampoo bath) Quick rinse between dips is great to keep him in comfort.

I do not clip his undercoat off (The longer hairs is clipped for reasons listed above) Thank you for your concerns, I hope I have help your questions satisfactory. :)

  • @Ahntara123 That is what I have been told as well. You are not suppose to clip an aussie.

  • I clip my aussie here in Florida. He's more active and pants a good deal less. It's also really tough to deal with matting when they get wet with all that hair.

  • not trying to critisize..but why is ur ausie have such short hair?

  • A dog's hair is insulation from both cold and heat. Just an FYI for your beautiful canine
