have you tryed Compiz on Kubuntu 10.11?
i cant get it to work.

@EchoNatek Hi, i have not tried to get compiz working on kubuntu - as far as i know its not officially supported for U/Kubuntu - since both have there own graphics managers thats are integrated, and pretty much do anything compiz does, see compiz wiki for details
