This is a Nixie tube multimeter, model IMD-202-2, built by Heathkit for the Bell & Howell Schools. I found mine in unworking condition, for $3. There's not any info on how to calibrate these or even schematics. I have spent nearly 8 months figuring out how it works to calibrate it. It now works, and is accurate on AC and DC settings. Still having issues on the Ohms settings though. If I read the numbers on the PCB correctly, this one was made in 1985, same as me, lol.

  • 0:07 trim those nails! lol (j/k)

  • You project looks cool, but the song(is that mushroomhead?) sounds like it was either recorded off of headphones or you had your stereo playing very loudly...just constructive criticism but it ruined the moment.

  • Hello!

I have come across a unique opportunity. I have a Bell & Howell School [Heathkit] IMD-202-2 as well but it is still in it's paper and plastic wrappings. The postage date is from April 18th 1975.

Anyways, it did not come with an assembly manual. I may be able to hook you up with the calibration procedures of a very similar model. If you could possibly help me with any electrical pictures/schematics/texts or anything of anything, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you.
