Former NFL wide receiver David Tyree is enjoying another 15 minutes of fame-this time for speaking out against marriage equality. In a video produced for the National Organization for Marriage, Tyree says "our country will be sliding toward anarchy." Tyree was mainly a backup during his seven-year NFL career, but he will forever be remembered for his historic helmet catch in Super Bowl XLII, which led to the New York Giants defeating the 18-0 New England Patriots. Tyreeapos;s inflammatory comments come days after his former teammate Michael Strahan came out in support of marriage equality and as New York State Senate gets ready.

  • @thetruthisoutnow Can we please stop with the racism? If black people need to go back to Africa, then white people need to go back to Europe and give back the land to the real Native Americans.

  • @1776iscoming bleats, "if you want to see discrimination, go to Iran and see how they treat women."

Are you seriously trying to argue that your own discrimination is justifiable because other cultures' abuse of their citizens is worse? By that "logic", the KKK and Jim Crow laws were okay because they didn't destroy as many lives as the Nazis did in Germany. When you have to stoop to such a level, you know you've completely lost the battle.

As I said, if you want to see discrimination, go to Iran and see how they treat women. Dude, you're fighting a losing battle if you are going to try and argue the bible supports ecumenicism or sex outside of marriage.

  • How nauseous to see a black man allying himself with a movement backed by the same type of people who back in the 1950's and 1960's would have wanted to deny him the right to vote, the right to live where he wished to live, the right to marry whom he wanted to marry, the right to take the job he was qualified to fill and even the right to drink from a whites-only water fountain. He should be hanging his head in shame!

"'We are all tied together in a single garment of destiny . . . I can never be what I ought to be until you are allowed to be what you ought to be,' quoting her husband. I've always felt that homophobic attitudes and policies were unjust and unworthy of a free society and must be opposed by all Americans who believe in democracy."

  • @1776iscoming contends, "Discriminating and enslaving blacks is not supported, by any means, in the bible."

Neither is discriminating against gays, yet "Christians" are wont to use the Bible for all sorts of vile reasons. J

"Look at our past 2 presidents describing themselves as Christian, yet have publicly proclaimed that there are other ways to heaven outside of Jesus"

Don't hate them for being honest and knowing more about God than you do.

  • (cont'd)relationship outside of the male/female marriage that He instituted. People try to elevate homosexuality as being worse than pornography or any other sexual sin, I don't. But, it is homosexuals that are trying to change the definition of marriage. Do you not expect Christians to be angry at that?

  • @GodCreatesGays2 Discriminating and enslaving blacks is not supported, by any means, in the bible. Just because somebody calls themselves a "Christian" does not mean that they are. Look at our past 2 presidents describing themselves as Christian, yet have publicly proclaimed that there are other ways to heaven outside of Jesus which is one of the fundamentals of the faith. Like I said on another post, do whatever you want, but please don't try to say that God approves of any type of sexual..

  • @GodCreatesGays2

No, our guaranteed God-given rights according to the Constituition are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Marriage is not a right. Let me ask you a question. Are pedophiles, people who are addicted to porn and people who practice bestiality born that way as well?

  • @1776iscoming exhibits even MORE confusion, "Marriage is not a right"

Those educated in reality know that it has already HAS been acknowledged as a right by the courts. Sorry the law inconveniences your agenda, but there you go.

"they do not have to reward other sexual lifestyles like homosexuals or even somebody that wants to have a relationship with an animal."

Now you leave your poor mama out of this.
