This song was posted before and had 515 views as of March 19th, 2010. I removed it and uploaded it once more in a better format to improve the quality of the video. The song was brought to my attention by my step-dad (Wayne) and I'd like to dedicate this slide show to him. I have been welcomed into their Colorado home for many years where I have had unlimited freedom in exploring the grandeur of the San Juan mountains of Colorado in and around Lake City. While I've not heard Salestrom sing in person, it's my understanding that he still performs in various parts of Colorado like the Broadmoor Hotel/resort in Colorado Springs. I like Salestrom's version the best of those I've heard online.

  • Superb, thanks for setting this video to this gorgeous song I first heard years ago. This summer (2011) I learned for the first time that there are 2000+ year old bristlecones in Colorado; then found and visited some of them -- not trivial!

  • @ajsinco Yes indeed. Thank you for watching and pausing to comment. It's appreciated.

  • My aunt who lives in Dillon, Colorado, introduced me to this singer. Thank you so much for uploading this video. The Bristlecone pines in Colorado are amazing indeed, and it's a very spiritual place, if you're that kind of person.

  • @Dillrod90 Salestrom has quite a rep in CO it seems. Yes, the mountains (in general) connect me with Spirit. Thanks for watching.

  • I stumbled upon this by accident, having previously heard of Hugh Prestwood songs but not this one; neither had I heard of Jim Salestrom. I love everything about this. The arrangement is so compelling, with the waltz tempo and the archaic harpsichord feel to the guitar. It's really special. I love it.

  • @Aviva2121 Thank you so much for watching and taking a moment to comment. I'm glad you like it.
