@barker262 NOT TRUE dancers win because they are good. Okay, the fancy dress helps but all types of dancing have a presentation section, you have to look good aswell as dance well to be a top dancer.

@barker262 thats not always the case...a lot of what happens is if a dancer is dedicated places high in a lot of competitions her parents will buy her a custom costume like a Siopa because they think she's going to stick with it and their money won't get wasted.

@barker262 that isn't the case in competitive irish dancing- the dancer who has obvisously put the most practise and effort into trying to succeed wins, it is clear from the world championships. eg 2010 when ciara taylor won her senior ladies title and her dress was rather plain and she didn't wear a big wig. I do, however, agree that the dresses are very expensive and overpriced.

You're lined up like AT&T, more bars in more places, it worked cuz wherever you were, it was crystal clear ur really good dancers!!! My FAV dance, it's the same no matter what school you come from. my daughter dances in NC.

@barker262 that's no reason to stop dancing, you can dance without going to competitions, just for fun, and you don't have to buy a dress.

I think that you could kick higher, but other than that i LOVED it!!! St Patrick's Day Is My All-Time Fav!!!
One of the dances I can still remember from my dancing days of many moons ago. Great to see dancing for dnacing's sake, and no fancy dresses with wigs. That's why we stopped dancing competively. Too expensive wtih three girls. It's a pity the most expensive dress wins now - not the best dancer.
