Ha ha ha ha. You are a gullible fool defending Quran with some suras contradicting other suras therein.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Which did Allah create first - Heaven or Earth? Oh dear, there are TWO CONTRADICTORY SURAS within the Quran answer that question. How would you answer that question yourself?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
You are a very FUNNY man. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

@EngagingWithIslam then send me a message with the quotes in full and I will check them against my copies of Sahih Bukhari and Muslim.

Another good reference is Abi Ya`qub al-Nadim. He was a librarian who made a catalogue of Arabic books in the year 377 A.H./987 A.D. He records Qur'ans that have 110 suras and others with 116.

@EngagingWithIslam All you have to do is read "An introduction to the sciences of the Quran" by Yasir Qadhi and "the History of the Quranic Text" by M.M. Al-Azami to see the discussions about the textual history of the Quran, claims of content differences and why some manuscripts may have been numbered in a different way. Even Iqraproductions here on Youtube has a video discussing this in the context of Ibn Masud's codex and allegations made regarding it.

@ozzycda What you gain from these books is that there 7 modes/dialects of the Quranic content along with 7 ways of reciting it. However on the other side of the topic there is one authentic text of the Quran which has been preserved as both books prove. Issues that crop up such as Ibn Masud and others are discussed in length and explained how Orientalist have abused these topics, I would suggest you picking up these two books and having a read.

The differences were in words and content. See (Bukhari: vol. 6, bk. 60, no. 468; also narrated Alqama vol. 6, bk. 60, no. 467, Khan. Agreed Muslim: bk. 4, no. 1799-1802, Siddique
Sorry they are too big to quote.

@EngagingWithIslam Never mind, I looked them up, no need to send them to me. Well it is pretty obvious from the Hadiths that companions of the Prophet knew the correct way of reciting the verses in question. They knew it well enough to know that the people who wanted it recited the other way were in error. If anything it proves that there was a consensus of knowing the correct words when reciting. The Mushaf certainly corrected any errors people might have had.

The hadith referring to two Muslims fighting over how to recite the Qur'an (Bukhari: vol. 6, bk. 61, no. 514) is not referring to dialects because both men came from the same tribe and have the same dialect. Islamic scholars in this area use this hadith to show this point.

@EngagingWithIslam You might have a point about the difference being in recitation and dialect since they were both issues that various groups had with each other. In fact the concept of dialect and modes of reciting are still concepts discussed in textbooks of understanding the Quran.
