The American government will start an ambitious interfaith dialogue programme to help boost understanding between Muslims and Christians, in line with plans mooted by US president Barack Obama. American ambassador Michael Ranneberger told Muslim faithful during an Iftar break of fasting meal on Wednesday, that the US was also committed to bettering relations between it and the Muslim world.
