Shamans of old would often use natural hallucinogenic substances to facilitate close encounters with other-worldly entities which they would interpret as gods, demons, wise spirits, faeries or angels. However, it is quite possible that they were experiencing extraterrestrial beings...and that when one consumes hallucinogens such as fly agaric or
"liberty cap" mushrooms or peyote, one is opening up a channel that is normally closed which permits perception of, and communication with aliens from other worlds.

- "Another thing I discovered through my experience of eating Magic
Mushrooms, was I was able to communicate telepathically with a girl I was
madly in love with, who was several blocks away from me. Later in that
morning, when I tried the ESP experiment using Magic Mushrooms, she
visited me and told me of a weird happening where she heard my voice in
the middle of her room, calling her name over and over again." Nabil
