@kuypee Looks, and sounds to me like he is using his famous 'woman tone' which is attained by using the bridge pick-up with the tone rolled back to take off the highs, and putting it through an over driven setting on a tube-amp. He brings the highs a little forward for the outro instrumental-oh yes and his fingers :-)

claptons playing is what you may call economically smooth...he plays for the song thats why if you hear him(and not see his usual clarke kent self :P ) you can hear the super guitarist self..
