@D3mang3l That too, but Frank Herbert was very keen on conveying the dangers of following a charismatic leader blindly and wage jihad in his name. That is also why Dune is so incredibly prophetical itself - it foretold a lot of events that are sort of taking shape in the world today. Of course Herbert was a history buff and borrowed heavily from human history and used it as very subject of his book. Remember how Paul was having nightmares of his devotees killing anybody in his name?
