Bears! in Sequoia National Park

Bears were out in full force on this weekend, lots of sightings reported from everyone I talked to.

This is from an out-and-back from Crescent Meadow to Hamilton Lake on the High Sierra Trail.

Deer at Hamilton Lake were super aggressive--waiting around my campsite, knocking over my tripod and waking me up several times during the night.

What do you do when you encounter bears? It's not like they want to go near you right?

@jebsquishy I film them :) Only once have I had a black bear that approached me and wouldn't go away on its own, near Yosemite valley. I scared him away by throwing some rocks and yelling. The one in this video looked at me a few times, but wasn't too interested. Just be sure to keep your food locked up. Grizzly bears on the other hand I don't want to mess with at all.

Very jealous. Looked like the bear wanted to come over and shake your hand at one point. Another great video!
