This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a production of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-sized puppets created by South Africa's Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to life on the stage.

People seem to think they used puppets in the Spielberg movie 'war horse', this is not so. the puppets were only used in the theatre production.

I am only slightly embarrassed to admit that I teared up watching this.
This is why I love theatre. The part of my brain that can see the actors moving the puppet just switches off and I'm so taken with the story.
I am going to be a wreck when I see this in the theatre....
