  • do you need a license for ssb radio?

  • @bassjammer111 no license required for cb radios with ssb. there is a limit to power output, though. 4 watts am, and 12 watts on ssb. anything more is "illegal".

  • Does the CB get in the passengers way mounted like that? and how much did your antenna cost? i have a 2001 ranger edge and i want to put my mini radioshack cb from my bronco into my ranger.

  • @bassjammer111 doesn't get in the way of the passengers too much. i have an extended cab, so they can push the seat pretty far back. the antenna ran about $20 from radio shack. the mount was about $10 (i think) and the spring another $15 to $20. the mount is a radio shack mirror mount. I drilled 4 holes in the bumper and bolted it on.
