This video clip talks about the rate at which US Presidents increase the national debt in terms of miles per hour when driving a car, a real good visual depiction of what's going on.

So how do the Obama deficits compare with past presidents? Keep in mind Obama's not done spending yet and a lot of his legislated spending hasn't even kicked in yet, it's be scheduled to kick in down the road so the next guy in office can take the blame.

And how did the national debt get so big?
This video tries to answer those questions by looking at the debt as a road trip and seeing how fast different administrations have been traveling.

  • @mos12010 Both Regan and Bush had democtratic congresses. Obama, with a democratic congress has managed to quadruple our debt in 1.5 years. There is most of your national debt dumbass.

  • Great Video! But you see we will never pay off this Debt and we know it. You see actually obama health care plan will cost way more then just $940 billion somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 trillion also the two fail wars in Iraq and Afghanistan after it's all been said and done are also going to cost about 3 trillion. Come on 6 trillion, that's like 20,000 per-person. It never will be repaid. At some point in the next 5 years we will just defaulted on all external dept like Mexico in 82' -JMW

  • @oneirishpoet You are apparently not smart enough to even put together a cohesive sentence unless it's glued together by profanity. I think this says more about your intellignce than I ever could. You sir are a moron.

  • @frogg4269 you're obviously a fucking mental retard froggfucker...93.7% of ALL US debt is attributed to Reagan/ Bush I/ Bush II...and that is a FACT unlike the non-sense spewed out of your Repiglickin anal orifice

  • wow - saying bush/regan created most of the debt just shows how utterly brainwashed these MSNBC liberal really are.

Not a clue in the bunch. how sad for them and their kids. But when you don't have a job and live on the dole your whole life, I guess we can't expect them to actually think for themselves.

*sigh* I fear for my kids futures because of this mentality.

  • @YIRMASTER He had a democratic congress for the first two years.

  • @frogg4269 Are you stupid or something, the point is he had a republican congress indicating a balance of power and a lot less spending.

  • Could you be more un-American. Everyone knows Reagan and Bush created almost all of the national debt. Obama is paying for Bush's tax cuts, Bush's wars, Bush's housing market collapse and all of the unemployed people Bush left behind.

  • @thekimchikiller I assume Bill Clinton was a Republican then? Ignorant.

  • Fixing up the mess that nearly 3 decades of Reaganism left us with is expensive.
