http://www.2tieatie.com -- The Pratt knot begins with the tie "reverse side out." It uses less length than the Half Windsor or Windsor knots, and so is well suited to shorter ties.

  • The only thing that knot has in common with the pratt is that it starts inside out. Other than that, although well done, it is simply not a pratt knot.  The wide end goes underneath the narrow end and then goes through the loop from front to back. Then wrap from left to right and come through loop from back to front and right through the knot. Its only a 5 move knot. You tied a variation of a grantchester knot.
