KOBUDO NO KIHON shares the Kihon Happo and San Shin, the roots and core of the Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu training system, are demonstrated here in a formal way first by the foreign students and then in a true fighting style by Soke Hatsumi. trouble is with a lot of people bitching about the bujinkan not being ninjutsu, they havent looked at other ninja systems. Try looking, other ninja systems have the same damn kamae and techniques.

well that would be silly, such an assertion is easily proven false, despite it only being an opinion.

i think a counterpoint is helpful, as long as it has an evidentiary basis.

as far as i have seen, and that includes actually looking.. i have never been able to affirm any of the claims made by takamatsu about ninjutsu or his teacher.

i stumbled upon a bullshido article about an ebudo post found by googling "Kakutogi no Rekishi" i think it sums up my stance.

uh this is a rather large and specific assertion... what is it based on? his MA isnt fake... it just has nothing to do with ninja, or ninjutsu.

Also during the age of Nobunaga they did have guns. So they did learn how to defend against them. If you feel he's fake then that's your position. @Arteanor I'm admiring Hatsumi >_>. I never commented the title. He's no fake. He's Headmaster of 9 Schools of Martial Arts. Each Martial Art that he's Headmaster of has its own specific forms and are really interesting. Kobudo no Kihon means "The basics of martial arts." He teaches the basics of his system. Do some research. The gun part I can't explain, but what's the point of having a school without teaching of every day life. He's renowned in Japan and greatly respected.

freaking Masaaki Hatsumi. Dude's in his, what 80s? And moves in what most people dream to be their primes. I would have loved to see him during his prime.
