Here is my rant on the negative reactions I get on being a stay at home mommy. Sorry if I offend. Hard not to offend with this topic.

  • Cassie, you have a job you're not just a stay at home mom. It's actually a response to hearing someone who is not employed talk about how busy they are or much they have to do that is annoying for those of us who work & still have to do all the housework AFTER working 40+ hours (if that is daycare /telecommuting/or work outside the home)---it's not about staying at home -v- not staying at home...the people who can't stand being with their kids is a whole other subject...those women have issues.

  • @BETLIN619 You're so right. Sometimes I find myself gritting my teeth when my friends who stay at home with only one child complain about how hard they have it. I have a few who have husbands that help out 50/50 with housework too and they still complain about their life. Seriously. I want to smack those people.

  • My husband works all the time. Or travels. I function like a single mom. I only have one child, a toddler. No daycare. No extended family. We have one car. I am busy ALL the time. No help. I am rather tired of people asking me "So, what do you do to occupy yourself" or "What are you doing to stop your mind from going to mush."

  • I think our insecurities just get in the way. Theres nothing wrong either position, stay at home or working moms. I think its really to stand for it and be proud. No matter what

  • So I have no kids, but I love all your videos! I am 23, and my mom stayed home with my brother and I for about 18 years. My mom always got criticized for being a stay at home mom. Not to brag but, Because of her I was able to graduate high school a year early, became a professional ballerina, graduated college with three BA, and did not drink till I was 21, and have never done drugs. My dad calls my mom a domestic engineer, and I think it is the most important job in the world.

  • Hey Cassie I go to work , so I have peace and quiet. I work less and get paid for it. I could never be a stay at home mom. BTW I work very hard at work but in comparison to what a stay at home mom does its a breeze!

  • sexy!

  • Amen I'm doing the same thing I'm stay at home mom and babysitter! People treat me like lazy and my mother law does the same thing

  • I hear ya sister!!!!! You're awesome. I'm an at home mom, though going back to work full time in the very near future. We made major sacrifices to make this possible so I could stay home for my kids for awhile! I just love ya!

  • Best vid out of your long, illustrious list of vids. Very down to earth and real, my fave by far.

  • Love your comment about what your momsaid... working all day... means your kids are being cared for by someone else... (which i don't judge ) :).... but the house IS clean, they don't have to make meals during the day... and only clean what 3 hours mess at night.... neither should be judging the other but all im saying is just because a stay at homes moms work goes mainly unnoticed... doesn't mean she does nothing, and a working mom doesn't mean she doesn't wanna see her kids

  • You are far from lazy... and even if you didn't earn money, stay at home moms work hard as heck regardless :)

  • @BETLIN619 I stay home and my husband works... why should I let someone else raise my children when my husband makes enough money for me to di it? Yes I still tell my friends how hard it is ... it really is all about choice and finances, I use to envy stay at home moms before my husband came along when I had to work.... but now I am happy that I can be with my children everyday... and regardless that we don't get paid, raising kids is a job. difference is I love doin it and don't complain :)
