My version of Last Christmas played on a Yamaha PSR-E403. I learned the basics of this from a midi file off the internet . Voices Intro and verses Piano (002) with Strings (050), Interlude Bell Pad (108) with Strings (050). Custom Style downloaded from http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/stylesites.htm with Tempo 108. Chords D, Bm (1st inversion), Em, A (2nd inversion). Better quality MP3 can be downloaded from http://www.box.net/shared/nzk7eyknyc

  • have u used any MIDI files?

  • @UkraineYamaha Hi, no not for this one. I used a custom style downloaded from the site given under 'show more'

  • @keithy501 Can I ask you a very important question? Can you send those drum beats to a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Pro Tools or FL Studio or is that separate from the midi feature? Or can those drums be recorded and sent to a DAW?

  • @audioproducer88 The drums were part of a custom style. I don't have the E403 any more, however you can transit the accomp section (the style) I think from midi channels 9 to 16. The keyboard needs to be set up from the function menu so that style out option is set to on if you just want the accomp part. You'll need to have the E403 as the midi device via the USB cable in the software and whichever software you use, record the midi data from channels 9 to 16 as the keyboard is playing

  • @audioproducer88 One more thing, the drums should be coming from midi channels 9 and 10 so you can record just those 2 channels instead of the whole accomp. Also should work if producing own drum track if E403 is set to a drum voice and midi data recorded on channels 9 and 10 with your software

  • very nice for an amateur. Keep practicing though.

  • @telemastoras Thanks. Hopefully you will see improvements as the postings get near the current date
