what all do you do i barrel race :)

I dont barrel race but I have had a few barrel horses in for training who were mental catastrophies. I like to train horses to listen, be calm (at least achieve their most calm state), and trust in their handler. I used to ride hunters. That is where my heart lies but I just dont have to time to dedicate and accele in any discipline other than tune ups for people or basic green as grass breaking.

hahaha this video is a joke... need better editing skills for one and for two the only good thing about this video is the song... im sorry lady but a horse dont go from bucking to a perfectly collected lope... anyone with half a brain would know that

OK, it is something I tried because when it was explained to me, to mechanics made sense but all in all I dont think it did anything but here goes: A horse that really, really likes to buck - if you adjust a lead rope so that it is around the horses neck comfortably when he/she is carrying his head normally, BUT when the horse lowers his/her head down to BUCK, they will feel that pressure.. and this is supposed to detour them from bucking.

way to tell em girl...they dont know what their talking about and have no idea what its like to try and calm a frantic horse...great job on tellin em where to stick it... :)

the landing. Consider too this: if I was not balanced when I hang over the horse- I would fall. At least that's the way it worked when I was in physics but again maybe where you are from; where saddle pads are made of steel and barbs, gravity works differently.

oh, also, the gray horse in the beginning does not have a bridle on. Im assuming that is who you're talking about with the "jerking".. "jerking" that word makes me think of some people Ive met on youtube.. anyway.. did you really reprimand me for thowing a saddle PAD on a horse. Im assuming of course that where you are from pads are also made of soft, fluffy material like they are here? As for the saddle: it's treeless. Weight 10 lbs and though I do an exagerated swing, I assure you I buffer..

Also, though I do not see any signs of "dripping sweat", we hit about 104 most summers so one needs merely to walk outside to achieve sweat dripping status. I suppose I could take your approach to riding and just do so vicariously through others on youtube.

A heckler in every crowd.. Look people: everyone does everything differently and here is why: there is no right or wrong way (with the exception of out and out beating your horse) and I wont please everyone most days. Never once have I logged onto youtube with the intentions of finding someone to bad mouth - why? Because my butt it outside working.

I notice traumwindpferd has no videos. It's easy to talk down when no one can see the condition of your own platform.
