Federico Aubele performs an alternate, unreleased version of "Su Melodia" from the album he is touring in support of, Panamericana (ESL Music). The night is Friday, September 5, 2008 and the venue is La Sala Rossa.
A good crowd filled the hall, which opened its doors to a line of concert-goers standing two-to-three people across, descending two flights of stairs and extending down a hall shared between two sections of the restaurant which occupied the floor beneath the hall.
Once inside, though the hall anticipated a standing only crowd, group by group chairs were pulled out from storage spaces beneath the stage. Just before the show, everyone had to move their chairs forward so that those still standing on the stairs just outside could fit into the hall.
The air was warm and the vibe of all the people gathered was equally so. Even the air outside complemented the warm feelings that were felt by everyone.
As the crowd marinated in their chairs or along the bar that stretched the length of the back of the room, the lights dimmed and the following is what they all saw and heard.
This video was taken with a Canon PowerShot digital camera from seats that were no more than 4 feet from the stage. The sound in these videos is a bit imperfect, but I can assure you, when heard live, the amazing clarity brought a whole new dimension. It was familiar to what you hear on the albums, but also, completely different.
If you have a chance to see these performances for yourself, do not pass it up.
