Greg Jarboe, SEO-PR, interviews Brett Tabke, founder of WebmasterWorld, about his participation on the SEO: Where to Next? panel. Brett says there is a future for SEO marketers although the full impact of todays global recession has not yet hit the industry. Brett also says the current slew of social media tools such as twitter and facebook, along with the aggregator sites such as Digg, also insulate the SEO market. Brett says traditional SEO, such as optimization of title tags and keywords, is already becoming part of the information architecture. On the other hand, Brett says social media, link analysis, are big developments. Brett also teases the next WebMasterWorld on March 11,12,13 in Austin, Texas.
