wow this guys smart, the battle flag of the ku klux klan??? first of they weren't an army they don't have a "battle flag" second of all i guess he doesn't see the hundreds of ku klux klan members that marched at washington bearing the stars and stripes. congratulations on knowing your history... not

Another important piece of history: After the south had surrendered; Lincoln ordered the Southern Cross fly for the day and the band played Dixie at the whitehouse. The Southern Cross is only non-pc because the kkk used it for their own hateful purposes. It has nothing to do with slavery because afterall; slavery took place under the Stars and Stripes too.

We flew this flag at our school. Never thought it had any negative aspects to it. My friends who are black were just as proud as I to show our colors at the games. If this is such a negative symbol why then do we allow gangs to flash signs of hate and flags, emblems such as the banners on back of bikers, or painted symbols of gangs racist against one another that are killing each other off daily. Not real sure what constitutes Hate anymore. Its everywhere.

@MrAnalplunger I could say all American's are treasonous for rebelling against Britain. Your argument holds no weight. Slavery was present under the Union Flag for nearly 20 times longer than the Southern Cross.

Does Germany still fly the Nazi flag to show their heritage? Nooooo. Flying a condeferate flag should be considered treason. It represents a southern history of injustice.

what bothers me is how the confederate flag is "slavery" but what ticks me off is blacks sold blacks as slaves & africans sold their own people 2 whites.im not rascist.ur a black man until proven ur a nigger.theres a big difference in my book but blacks hate whites because of slavery and they need to know what their talkin about before they run their mouths because we the whites are the "niggers" now.i want to point out im not rascist i have many BLACK FRIENDS but i am not friends with niggers

If you want heritage...then pass a law in the South that makes it illegal for hate groups to bear this flag. Very few blacks honor this flag. We spit on it!

You know what bothers me is that i was born and raised in a small farm town here in Florida. I grew up with alot of rednecks and i consider myself proud to be a redneck. What i have noticed is that i have met more racists people who HATE blacks from the Yankee or Northern states (especially New York and New Jersey) than i know down here. Sure i have heard the N word many times used down here and have used it myself, but the hatred behind that word is more evident from the northerners.
