Southern XC 2010 Round 2 Pippingford

On the hottest day, the hardest course. Jody Crawforth (Specialized) rode away from Billy Joe Whenman (Whyte) on the fourth lap to take the Elite win. Red Kite Cycles did well with Ross Adams getting third on the Elite podium and brother Euan Adams winning the Expert race. Hot favourite, Chris Minter took 1 hour on his first lap after a mechanical! Carla Haines switched places with Maxine Filby for the Elite Womens race this round. The tough course and heat took its toll with lap times increasing during every race and loads of retirements. If this course isn't enough of a challenge for a National Championship nothing is!
