This animation shows how a large brain tumor near the pituitary gland can be removed through pioneering endoscopic endonasal (through the nose) surgery at UPMC. This minimally invasive technique allows surgeons to remove skull base tumors as large as softballs through the nose, with less trauma to the brain and critical nerves than with a traditional craniotomy.

@Eassle369 it simply means "through the nose" (literally, "in the nose").

I went to the upmc website and I for the love of god cannot find the definition of endonasal! My girlfriend is in first responder class and I'm trying to help her with one of her take home assignments. Does anyone know the definition of endonasal?! Please answer if you know.
