The RSC performed "Cyrano" and "Much Ado About Nothing" on alternating nights with this cast in London, New York and other cities--including Los Angeles, CA in the Olympic Arts Festival, 1984. And LA is where I managed to see these fine productions. Very fine indeed!

  • This is one of my favorite plays in the pantheon of theater and I saw Derek Jacobi with the RSC perform it live so many years ago. I still have the T-shirt from the production in my drawer!

  • what a romantic story --- in both senses of the word

  • I watched this years ago; the last time was on Bravo, back in the 90's, before it turned into reality tv tripefest. I always wanted to see this production again but wasn't sure which it was; lo and behold thanks to the combination of IMDB and youtube here I am! Thank you very much for adding this.

  • I would immagine Jayne Tottma, has well and truly left the acting profession by now, and is likely working in a bank, a building society, an office, a library, running a pub, running a restaurant or even working as a car mechanic, Many child actors and actresses leave the acting profession, after a period because they don,t want to be professional actors and actresses and they want a more regular job or they are unlucky in the acting profesion and cannot make it as actors and actresses.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. What a shame, though, that they didn't use the superior Hooker translation :(

  • Is this able to buy, its awesome????

  • i have a french test about this stupid story tomorrow, ugh ! and i didn't read the book, so I'm gonna watch it here now, maybe i'll understand it..

    WISH ME GOOD LUCK :D

  • This adaptation by Burgess is crisp and cunning. Thanks so much for posting it!

  • It looks great, but can't I just find anything in French? T_T

  • I love Cyrano de Bergerac and I was wondering if you had the play with Kevin Kline in it
