To be fair the 2 german SS divisons were less than 1/2 strengh after being mauled at Normandy, most of their ranks were made up of clerks and cooks and lead by experienced veterans.

I live in Arnhem aswell and though I was born looooong after the war ended my respect for the allied forces runs deep.
Many have died for a cause not their own..
