The purpose of this video is simply to introduce a small selection of Aramaic words, the writing, the sounds and their respective meanings. Those who know Hebrew might be surprised by the similarity with Aramaic. They are in fact related languages. Indeed, these words have been purposely selected to demonstrate the similarity of Aramaic to Hebrew. Although the words are similar the point to remember is that semantic differences do exist. The point being is that although similarities do exist one must be careful not to overlook the subtle differences and say they are the same. The meanings of some words are clear in one language but sometimes unclear in the other. (Further examples to follow).

10 of those words are the same as the arabic while only 2 i couldnt understand ..

@jayson4446 If you can read and write in Aramaic then you should also know that Biblical Aramaic and Hebrew share many features. What form of Aramaic do you read and write?
