Wheel re-invented? Sort of. Check out the sidedriver wheel. Much broader use. higher speeds/loads and applications in general. no need to redesign the vehicle from ground up. Bolt-on application. SideDriverDotCom

Excellent point. Also, electric motors and controllers are getting cheaper all the time. Sure it's a niche market, but so's the helicopter.
