Finally got one of the ES40DC engines I had custom made by S. Dempey Customs. My camcorder doesn't do it justice. Sound is the T55 Gevo DCC/Sound decoder but with an MRC speaker in enclosure instead of in the tank. I haven't had a chance to turn it down, so sorry for any distortion. Started as an T55 unit and it went from there. Will post a multi ES40DC train when I get the rest.

  • Thanks for the reply. I wasn't going to put too much effort in the Digitrax decoders as I am waiting for the Soundtraxx release for the Intermountain Gevos. Reminds me as I need to call them to see where they are on that. Thanks for the 4 stars as I have a ways to go on the units to get them closer to the prototypes.

  • Do you know if the guy used LEDs or did he just use the kind that came with the engine?

  • I wired it and I used the stock bulbs.

  • Yeah haha. I sent my SD70M off to charleston digital trains yesterday...the next time you see it it will have DCC/sound/lights.

  • Why did you send it off to them? I remember you doing a great job doing your own sound and lights. I plan on putting in a GN-1000 by Soundtraxx in mine and that is a pretty easy install.

  • Great T55 locos they look and sound great! 5*****

oh and do you know what the tower 55 website is i cant find it :C

  • @leejax01 Do you know when Intermountain will be releasing the GEVO sounds? I've been thinking about getting an Intermountain GEVO. Are they good? I've never purchased any Intermountain equipment.

  • Great try but this sounds nothing like Gevo loc. Digtrax is a very generic sound but if you find the file you can down load it to Digtrax from a file. I will give you four stars for effort.

  • Alright thanks!

  • I'm OK with plug and play stuff...but when it comes to hardwiring and LEDs I let someone else do it.

  • Thanks. I still have to do a vid on the locos and get an HD cam to do them justice.
