This clip is an unedited excerpt, yes raw film footage, from The Mexico Jazz Tour film. If you like this, then please 'Like' the Skinny Llama Productions FB page!! Thanks!! Currently in editing, the film will be in Theatres after it travels the festival circuit! It is comprised of concerts throughout Mexico, activities of daily living of each musician on the tour, and personal interviews. The musicians on the tour include Richie Cole - Alto Saxophone, Luis Gasca - Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Gabriel Hernandez - Piano, Gene Perla - Bass (San Antonio), Tyler Mitchell - Bass (Mexico), Bobby Kapp - Drums & Vocals, and special guests. In this concert clip, the special guest is Alfonso Ornicoleman - Percussion. A note: you see Richie walking in with a cane because he injured his ankle in Chicago (the romantic story of his accident is told in the film.) He was still recovering from the surgery while on this tour in Mexico. In this clip the band is performing 'Quando, Quando' in Queretaro, Mexico. VIVA MEXICO! VIVA JAZZ!!!
"The creation of the movie was a trial at times, but I love each one of these guys!! The music created herein will blow you away as it did me..the entire tour!"
A CD was recorded in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico towards the end of the tour featuring most of the musicians listed above with vocalists, Patrice Villastrigo and Michael Villastrigo. Titled: Golden Orchid, it can be found at www.SkinnyLlamaProductions.com, CD Baby, itunes and most CD download sites.
