In Western countries, Filipinos are overall treated better. In Asia it's a very different story. Many Asians look down on Filipinos and view them the way Mexicans are viewed in the U.S. In Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea and Japan they work as maids for wealthy families. In Tokyo they work as bar hostesses (aka whores). An Asian family would not want their son to marry a Filipino. That would be "marrying down."

Expectation will be the same for you. You are working as an RN not as a doctor. Besides, being an MD doesn't make you a better RN.

Fastest way for a Filipino to become a millionaire, is to become an RN. Nurses overall get pay a ridiculous amount, w/ little education. Go to any high end neighborhood, if you find a Filipino family, chances are...the head of household is a nurse (RN). Looks for Filipino with really nice cars, houses...there's a nurse behind it. More power to them, they don't need a good education...a lot of money is just as well. Take nursing out of the equation and most Filipino will live in poverty.
