Inaugurations are always problematic but this last one more so as you could not walk across PA Avenue anywhere for 14 blocks; and this lead to the Tunnel of Doom at 3rd street and the crush of people by the TV screens near the Washington Monument.
If you remember the coverage of the parade, most seats were empty as most opted to SEE the inauguration and then go get warm. (Air/Space Museum for me.)
