I've only played this game for a half hour or so. I'm not a master and I'm probably screwing up without even knowing it. Gameplay footage of Gyromancer, a game created by PopCap games and Square Enix. Basically it's Bejeweled Twist with RPG aspects.

  • That... that song at the beginning. It's from Super Mario RPG, right? In that forest where you meet Geno?

  • OK, I want this game now.

  • In case you are wondering (sorry for the double post, I ran out of room), I have played this several hours at a friend's house, who ended up buying this game because of me showing it to him.

  • Good video as usual. It took a while for me, but I figured out that by constantly making matches without "idle flips" (flips without matching anything), you get your chain level up (the big white number on the bottom of the screen), which makes your power gem meters fill up faster.

I would get this, but I'm waiting for a CD/DVD-ROM release in stores, since I would rather be able to play wherever I am. That, and I would prefer to have a tangible disk, rather than a piece of data.

  • Agreed. =)

  • I agree with Artificialraven; the game is awesome. Bejeweled mixed with RPG isn't anything new though, with Puzzle Quest being out and all.

  • Ya know I thought the same thing at first. But after playing the full version, I found out this game has a ton of content and challenge. It's not for everyone though but for what it's worth, it's a good mix of gaming genres.

  • Ahh I see how this is played, weird style of fighting, but from what it looks like, you have to make combos to get your attacks to take effect.

    Interesting game.

  • Pretty badassed for a puzzle game.
