@oldmanpudding69 i played this game when i was 12. i didnt understand anything as well. i had to read this faq from this guy from Gamefaqs who explained the plot. and man it had hidden meaning and stories to it like inception. amazing game !

Nothing was more emotional for me then a story about a beat down, broken hearted shell of a man, through grief and guilt, feels all purpose in life has abandoned him, prepares for the greatest physical mental and emotional challenge of his life. All riding on the faith that a letter supposedly written from his deceased wife, confirms he may or may not get to see her again. The mere thought that he would be willing to risk it all, riding on the faith of a letter is simply beautiful.
