@derekxnl No, it doesnt balance out FOX. Fox is the only news organization that is right of center. It is not radical. MSNBC is full of RADICALLY left-wing liberal unprofessional reporters. That is a fact! Perhaps you are a liberal yourself and find CNN and ABC, NBC, CBS as no full of propaganda, but those organizations should clean their acts up so they wont continue losing money. The USA is a center right country with less than 25% of the people considering themselves as liberals, right?

@Ulamaxh20 I think of MSNBC as balancing out FOX. Fox has a heavy rightwing bias while claiming to be "fair and balanced". MSNBC has a clear "liberal" progressive leftwing bias but I don't see them claiming to be fair and balanced. They know they're biased and they don't really try to hide it. I could be wrong though.

I agree with the posters here... Matthews is pathetic int that he seems to have 1 goal... Beat down and antagonize anyone who doesnt agree with his thinking. He is rude crude and socially unacceptable. MSNBC is committing reporting suicide with hosts like Chris and Olberman and Maddow. Fairness is needed desperately on MSNBC doesnt it?

MSNBC is suffering because of anchors like Matthews. Its ratings are abysmal. Less people will be misinformed by him. That should be some consolation.

I can sympathise with your disgust, but you can't blame the US public entirely. You saw the video. It's media sources like Chris Matthews that provide the information for the vast majority of people. Gravel didn't stand a chance because he was never given much time in the debates, in the news or elsewhere in the mainstream media. Most Americans probably don't know who he is because of that. How can people be expected to make informed choices if they are ill-informed?
